Real Madrid were back in training today and completed their first session in preparation for this Sunday's match against Rayo Vallecano at the Santiago Bernabeu (9pm; Canal+ 1). On the field of pitch 1 of the Real Madrid Football City, and with the exception of Casillas, who is continuing his recovery from injury, Jose Mourinho had his full squad available plus the central midfielder from Castilla Jose Rodriguez.
The squad began to prepare for this Sunday's clash with Rayo Vallecano at the Real Madrid Football City, which is the 24th league fixture of the season. Jose Mourinho, who included the central midfielder from Castilla Jose Rodriguez, split his players into three groups. The nine outfield players who played most minutes against Manchester United were in the first. Ramos, Varane, Arbeloa, Khedira, Özil, Di Maria, Cristiano Ronaldo, Xabi Alonso and Coentrão were put through a light recovery session alongside the technical assistant Rui Faria.

The larger second group saw the presence of the other outfield players available to the Portuguese manager in the session. Marcelo, Essien, Modric, Carvalho, Higuain, Callejon, Morata, Nacho, Albiol, Benzema, Pepe, Kaka and Jose Rodriguez worked at a more intensive rhythm. Adan, Diego Lopez and Jesus carried out a specific set of drills alongside the goalkeeping coach Silvino Louro.
