Xabi Alonso and Benzema train with the group

Real Madrid returned to training after their victory yesterday at the Riazor (1-2) and began preparations for the return leg of the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey against Barcelona. Xabi Alonso and Benzema trained with the group in a session at which the manager, José Mourinho, had Quini and Ríos from Castilla and Marcos Legaz from the youth team (Juvenil A) available. Casillas is still in the process of recovering from injury.
Real Madrid began preparations for their return leg of the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey to be played this Tuesday against Barcelona at the Camp Nou (9pm; Canal+ 1). José Mourinho split the players at his disposal into three groups. In the first, under the instructions of the assistant manager Rui Faria, the outfield players who faced Deportivo yesterday completed a recovery programme.

The second group, which worked with greater intensity, included the other outfield players at the disposal of the Portuguese manager. Among them were Xabi Alonso and Benzema, who joined the group as well as youth players Quini, Ríos and Marcos Legaz. Adán, Diego López and Jesús completed a special programme alongside the goalkeeping coach Silvino Louro, while Casillas continued with his recovery from injury.
