The city of Puebla (Mexico) hosted the first quadrangular tournament between the Realmadrid Foundation social and sports academies in the country, bringing together over 120 students between 12 and 14 years of age. The host city contributed its two teams, Loma Bella and Xonaca II, while the academies of Tlaxcala and Cordoba brought the total to four. The event took place in a friendly, sporting atmosphere. It ended with a ceremony in which the tournament objectives were explained to the boys and girls who participated: healthy coexistence, motivation to not give up and integration with other communities.
In addition, the tournament was the first sports gathering between the social and sporting academies in Mexico, one of the countries where the Realmadrid Foundation has increased its presence most in the past year. The collaboration with the Puebla City Council has meant that 260 children living in the most marginalised areas in vulnerable conditions have learnt to develop personally, physically and socially.

With the collaboration of Bancomer over 400 Mexican children benefit from the initiative. Specifically, in the state of Tlaxcala, around 100 disadvantaged boys and girls carry out social and sporting activities. In the state of Veracruz the foundation contributes together with the National System for Integral Family Development (DIF in Spanish) to progress in childhood and adolescence, offering a space for learning, meeting and social cohesion. In total, over 450 children and young people between six and seventeen years old from the cities of Coatzacoalcos, Cordoba, Tuxpan and Puerto de Veracruz currently receive comprehensive training through sport
