Real Madrid is fulfilling one of the requirements necessary in order to get through to the playoffs of a competition as demanding as the Euroleague- to be strong on your home court. The Whites certainly are. They have won their seven matches in the Palacio de los Deportes, most quite confidently, defeating their rivals on average by 14.2 points. In addition, they are on a nine-match winning streak at home that began with their win against Gescrap Bilbao Basket in last season's Top 16.
Five matches in the Regular Season and two in the Top 16. In total, seven wins in seven matches. The Whites have proven to be unmatched in the Palacio de los Deportes, making it one of the toughest courts in European basketball. Big contenders for the European title have played there such as Panathinaikos, Khimki and CSKA as well as other renown teams such as Cantu, Fenerbahce Ulker, Olimpija and Zalgiris Kaunas. None of them have been able to overcome a Real Madrid team that proved to be superior.

Their biggest victory came against Olimpija de Ljubljana, by 31 points (91-60), to conclude the Group Round. But the most spectacular game was against Khimki on the seventh match day of the Regular Season, which ended 104-81. Rudy (23 points) and Mirotic (17) led Real Madrid to the top placing in their group. In the Top 16 they've played two matches. Sergio Rodriguez decided the match against Zalgiris with a three pointer on the buzzer (75-74), while extra time was needed to beat CSKA from Moscow (86-78).

One of the keys to their remaining unbeaten is the difference between points scored and conceded. In the seven matches they've managed an average of 85.4 points in attack and 71.1 in defense. Only Khimki has scored over 80 points in the Palacio (81). The next rival to visit Real Madrid's court is Alba Berlin, who the Whites defeated 63-77 in the first-leg match. Victory for the group E co-leader would mean their tenth consecutive Euroleague win. The winning streak began 1 February 2012, beating Gescrap Bilbao Basket by 89-73 on the third match day of the Top 16. The team led by Laso hasn't been beaten since.
