Felipe Reyes talked about the white team today at the event that took place in the new Bernabéu Adidas store. The Real Madrid player emphasized that the game needs to be finished off with a title: “We’re having a good season, but the decisive moment is coming up now. We work every day so that it will all come out right. We’re going to do the best we can to make the fans happy. If you don’t get titles, what we’ve done isn‘t worth anything. We’re all focused on winning them.”
Carlos Suárez and Sergio Rodríguez accompanied the captain in the event. Carlos praised Pablo Laso’s work: “A large part of our success is due to the coach, he knows how to lead the group. Most of us know one another from last year, and that’s another advantage. Laso is a very easy-going person; when he loses he doesn’t go crazy and that’s what we need when that happens. He’s also demanding.”
Finally, Sergio Rodriguez expressed his ambitions for the rest of the season: “We lost the Cup, but there are still two important titles left and we’re very eager to win them. In Europe, there are two big groups left and last year Olympiacos won, which wasn’t the favourite. You’ve got to wait until the end. The basis for it is our past performance, we all know one another, and Laso gives us a whole lot of confidence. It’s great having a coach who has been the maximum League assistant and has experience.”
