José Mourinho reached 100 Liga matches with Real Madrid against Rayo Vallecano. The Portuguese coach, who reaches the landmark in a championship for the second time in his career after achieving the feat with Chelsea (120), is also the fourth-ranked coach in the club’s history in terms of victories in the competition, 76, and only has Miguel Muñoz (257), Beenhakker (89) and Del Bosque (84) ahead of him.
Since leading the team for the first time in August 2010 against Mallorca at the Iberostar Stadium (0-0), José Mourinho has led the Whites in 100 Liga matches and against Rayo became the sixth coach in the club’s history to reach the landmark in the championship. Real Madrid’s goal difference with the Portuguese as manager is impressive: 281 goals for and 87 goals against.
